A high-flying non-league football club has launched a new website in an ambitious bid to make its state-of-the-art stadium a community hub.

AFC Sudbury – newly crowned Ryman Division One North champions - has launched the site to promote the wide range of facilities available at its Wardale Williams Stadium home. It is aiming to attract the local community to make the most of the facilities and is particularly keen to attract members of the business and public sectors.

Facilities at the venue include a modern function suite which can seat up to 140 people and is used for celebrations, VIP events, dinners and conferences. The stadium also has a pavilion building which is used to hold networking events, seminars, exhibitions and business presentations. A fully equipped dance studio is also located in the main building which is available to local groups such as the Quay School of Dance. Overlooking the pitch is an area used for VIP events.

Keith Morris, club director, said: “AFC Sudbury is now much more than a football club. We have a very big community ethos and recognise our important role within the community. Our aim is to make the venue a community hub available to the public, organisations and the business sector. We have fantastic facilities and to encourage greater use we have launched a new website to showcase what is available. All funds generated via our hire facilities go directly to supporting the football club and its participation in youth and community projects.”
